We are still star struck over the red carpet looks that stole the show at this years Met Gala! It has got us thinking about the different movies and shows on the big screen where we’ve seen amazing fashion. From the streets of New York, or the lawn of the capital here are our favorite filmed fashion moments!
5.)Devil Wears Prada
When Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) landed a job as co-assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), she planned to use the year long position as a launch pad to become a reporter in another city. In spite of the job’s challenges, Andy eventually altered her plans, and aspired to get a heel into the fashion industry, literally. Throughout the movie, Andy’s style develops from cardigans to couture, and Streep is naturally dressed in Prada from start to finish. Patricia Field received a nomination at the Academy Awards for her superior costume design in 2007. So what’s our style inspiration? Office looks can get a little dry with just cottons and neutrals. Shake up your style with patterns, textures, or an interesting fit, all while still staying work appropriate.

You can find her best pieces in the Limited’s Scandal Collection. Sold in stores and online. To get her look, try classic pieces with a fun twist. Black and white can have flare with interesting patterns and strong metal accents.
3.) Ocean’s Eleven
Men have had their fashion moments in film, and one of our favorites is from the Ocean’s trilogy. Danny Ocean, Rusty Ryan, and their accomplices plan a casino heist decked out in a “casual elegance”. Their sleek, tailored suits, often without ties, really caught our eye for big screen fashion. Ready to steal the scene like these stars? Try pieces that emphasize excellent tailoring. Make them a bit more casual by mixing and matching pieces, and going without a tie.
